02 · Navigation
How the app is laid out
There are two surfaces: the public marketing site (where you are now) and the dashboard (where the tools live). Knowing the two navigation systems makes everything quick to reach.
The public site
The top navigation bar appears on every public page. It links to About, Careers, Masterclass, Academy, and this Docs guide, with Sign In and Sign Up always on the right.
About — our mission and story
Careers — open roles and applications
Masterclass — live sessions you can reserve
Academy — the Superintelligence Academy program
Docs — this guide
The dashboard sidebar
Once signed in, a teal sidebar runs down the left on desktop. It's the spine of the product:
Academy AI — the dashboard home with all tools and your recent papers
Chat — the AI research assistant
Idea Chunks — break a topic into structured, explorable pieces
Prompt Optimizer — refine prompts for sharper AI output
Your profile chip sits at the bottom of the sidebar — click it to open Settings. On mobile, the sidebar collapses into a bottom bar with Home, Tools, Search, and Profile.
Dashboard → left sidebar/dashboard
Search anything
The search overlay finds your research papers and every AI tool in one place. Open it from the Search icon in the mobile bottom bar (or the dashboard), type a few letters, and jump straight to a paper or tool. Press Escape to close.
Tip — Search matches both paper titles and tool names — it's the fastest way to reopen a draft you were working on.
03 · Research Utilities
The four core generators
These are the everyday workhorses, grouped under “Utilities” in the sidebar. Each one takes your input and returns scholarly, formatted output you can copy straight into your work.
Abstract Generator
Synthesizes a complete manuscript into a concise, formatted abstract that adheres to journal guidelines. Paste your paper or describe your study, and get a publication-ready abstract.
Builds perfectly formatted references in APA, MLA, Chicago, or IEEE. Paste a DOI, URL, or raw reference details and the formatter structures them precisely — no more hunting through style manuals.
Distills dense academic papers into digestible points, pulling out the key findings, methodology, and conclusions so you can triage a literature pile fast.
Generates a structured, hierarchical outline from your research question or topic — a conceptual scaffold to kickstart drafting instead of staring at a blank page.
Sidebar → Utilities → Outlines/dashboard/outlines
Tip — Start with an outline, then expand each branch in the paper editor — the two tools are designed to flow into each other.
04 · AI Chat
Your research assistant
A conversational AI tuned for academic work. Ask it to explain a concept, brainstorm angles, critique an argument, or draft a passage — all in a threaded chat you can return to.
Using chat
1
Open ChatSelect “Chat” from the dashboard sidebar.
2
Ask anythingType a research question, paste text for feedback, or ask for help structuring an argument.
3
Keep the threadConversations are saved so you can pick up where you left off and build context over time.
Sidebar → Chat/dashboard/chat
05 · Idea Chunks
Break big topics into pieces
Idea Chunks takes a broad theme and splits it into smaller, structured units you can explore one at a time — ideal for the early, divergent phase of a project.
Working with chunks
Enter a topic and RaindropsX returns a set of focused chunks — sub-questions, angles, or sections. Drill into any chunk to develop it further, and carry the strongest ideas into an outline or paper.
Sidebar → Idea Chunks/dashboard/chunks
06 · Prompt Optimizer
Get sharper answers
The Prompt Optimizer rewrites a rough prompt into a precise, well-scoped one so the AI returns more relevant, higher-quality output.
Refining a prompt
Paste the prompt you were about to use, and the optimizer returns an improved version with clearer intent, constraints, and structure. Use it whenever a generator or chat answer isn't landing the way you want.
The paper editor is the heart of RaindropsX — a full research writing environment with structured blocks, math, citations, real-time collaboration, and export to submission-ready formats.
Create a paper
1
Start a new paperFrom the dashboard, create a new research paper. You'll open into a focused, full-width editor with no surrounding chrome.
2
Build with blocksStructure your document from content blocks across many academic formats — headings, body text, lists, quotes, and more.
3
Add math and citationsWrite equations with KaTeX and insert precisely formatted citations as you go.
Dashboard → New research paper/dashboard/papers/new
Collaborate in real time
Invite co-authors to a paper and edit together. Each collaborator has a role — owner, editor, or viewer — so you control who can change what. Invited collaborators accept through an invite link and appear in the shared document.
Owner — full control, including sharing and deletion
Editor — can write and edit the document
Viewer — read-only access
Export your work
When a draft is ready, export it in journal-ready formats — PDF, Word, ePub, and LaTeX — formatted to match your target publication's spec.
Tip — Reopen any paper instantly from the dashboard's recent papers list or the search overlay.
08 · Book Projects & Publishing
From idea to published book
Beyond papers, RaindropsX runs a guided book authorship workflow — a step-by-step wizard that takes a project from concept through to a publish-ready manuscript.
Start a project
1
New projectBegin a new book project and follow the guided wizard through each authorship step.

RaindropsX isn't only software — it's a learning program. The Academy and Masterclass help you sharpen the craft of research writing.
